"This certified product-version may require additional costs, contractual obligations, and technical/practical limitations"
Costs and Limitations:
Platinum Fusion 1.0 and 2.0 technology is certified to the 314.e.1 “view, download, and transmit to a 3rdy party” certification criteria. However, an EP must pay an ongoing monthly service fee to Medicfusion for it to host/administer this capability in order for the EP to meet the correlated MU objective and measure. This capability is accomplished through an online patient portal that allows patients to view their health information online, download a summary of their health information and then transmit to the requested provider.
This certified product-version may require additional costs associated with DrFirst Rcopia, MIRTH Connect and NewCrop Core, has contractual obligations upon sign-up and the EP must purchase additional services that are not included in the initial purchase. The additional costs are per provider costs as each EP will have an associated monthly cost for MIRTH Connect and New Crop Core. There is an annual cost per EP for DrFirst Rcopia. The EP is informed of any additional charges, including DrFirst Rcopia, MIRTH Connect and NewCrop Core, upon signing a contract with Medicfusion. DrFirst Rcopia allows an EP to document medications and medical allergies for a specific patient. MIRTH Connect and NewCrop Core allow the functionality for a patient to view, download and transmit their health information to a third party. This refers to DrFirst Rcopia, MIRTH Connect and NewCrop Core, all third party vendors required for the EP to attain attestation. The relevant certification criteria include: 170.314 (b) (1) and (2), h (1) – (3). This certified product version will require an ongoing monthly cost, per provider, toestablish interfaces for reporting to immunization registries, cancer registries and public health agencies (170.314.f.2 ,170.314.3.f.4, 170.314.f.6). The ongoing monthly fee for MIRTH Connect and NewCrop Core and the annual fee for DrFirst Rcopia covers thepurchase, license, implementation, maintenance, upgrades, use and support for the additional service.
This certified product-version will require a Provider to sign an agreement with a third party, Medicfusion EMR. However, all our third party connections are directly integrated within our EMR solution.
Direct messaging functionality (including transitions of care, discharge summaries, and clinical messaging functionality).
[Relevant certification criteria: §§ 170.314(b)(1) and (2), h(1)-(3).]
This functionality allows users to send and receive Direct-based messages to/from other users of certified health IT systems. Direct messages may include clinical data, notes, and other information, and is limited to exchanging withing a certain trust network - SureScripts.
Our Direct offerings support related Meaningful Use and ONC requirements for sending and receiving transitions of care summary documents.
Our Direct capabilities include bundled Health Internet Service Provider (HISP) services for facilitating message exchange. However, the only technical or practical limitation would be that the recipient could not receive a C-CDA. This limitation is on the Recipient’s software and not within our software.
Other than what is mentioned above, there are no Technical Practical Limitations.
